Dr. Dorothy VanderJagt is a popular and engaging speaker that works with educators all over the country. She recently published Permission to Pause: A Journal for Teachers with Times Ten Publications. Dorothy was a teacher for ten years, a principal for eleven years, and the Director of Teaching and Learning at Kent Intermediate School District for four years. Dorothy currently serves as a Coordinator for the High Impact Leadership Project with Western Michigan University. She was director of the Northern Exposure to Middle Level Education Conference in Frankenmuth, Michigan, for five years and has been the director of the Michigan Education Conference for fourteen years. Dorothy works as a coach for administrators, coordinates seminars, has published research on problems facing schools today, leadership, curriculum strategies, and self-care. She has developed educational games, on-line courses, and is co-author of two books WOW, What a Team! and Fire Up for Learning! Dorothy’s extensive classroom background enables her to share her experiences on a teacher-to-teacher level in a meaningful, practical, and encouraging manner.
